Historias reales, fotos reales, sonrisas reales
Dario P.: “I can’t believe this is happening right now. I don’t even know what to say, I just wanna say thank you. Thank you to all and single one of you that have made my year one of the best years of my life. I’dont have any regrets and I’m really glad for everything that I’ve been through. I’m glad I got to learn about your culture and about y’all, and I will never forget anyone or anything. This had been an incredible year and a year for me to learn and grow and I’m sure I’m gonna be back as soon as posible”.
Host brother: “dang dude…dang- words can not describe the shock that look Ahold of me this morning when my mom woke me up and told me that my best friend, my brother was being sent home because of this awful sickness that’s sweeping the world. I have not realized the impact that this pandemic has had until it took one of the people who make me most happy in this world away for who knows how long. Over this short 9 months I’ve made so many memories with you that I’ll never forget, and for that I’m truly grateful. I’m always going to remember the days at the park playing basketball and forgetting about everyday problems. I’m never going to forget the late night spent watching movies and teaching you how to play Minecraft. We would talk about each other past and laugh in the present without worrying about the future. You honestly are a caring person and even though I don’t think j ever showed it but I care about you too.
I am ridiculously sad and once again I may show it, I want you to know that I’m happy you were apart of my life. Maybe when I’m older I’ll tell people about the days of walking all around Lakeway and playing horse on my mini basketball hoop with my buddy who was always ready to hang out with me no matter what. You may not think you`re a genuine person but believe that you are and hopefully I’ll see you one day in the future my guy. I’m wishing you health and protection in Spain and I’m praying you stay safe. And must I say what a great last picture to always remember the face of my childhood Friends and our last stance with our foreign friend with a strong heart. You rock dude I’ll always remember. See ya on the flip side home”
Un ejemplo más de los lazos que llegan a crear nuestros alumnos españoles con sus host families durante su Año Académico en el extranjero.
